Pet Diaries: Berry (Entry 3)

When I’m irritated I bark at my human for no reason. Have that! I don’t understand a word of what she keeps saying to me. And I’m pretty sure she doesn’t understand me either when I bark or bite at her hands. But we do have some common understanding.

Like, continuous barks mean I want to go on a walk. Sitting down and slowly barking at her means I don’t want her to leave and I want her to keep petting me. Also, when I want her to sit next to me, I go sit on the stairs in front of the kitchen door. Occasionally, I like sitting with my arms in her lap. I get so many kisses and cuddles when I do that.

If I’m still hungry after having food, I push my bowl towards her and if she’s not around I strike it with my paw to make a sound loud enough to hear, and I usually bark too.

My human and I have been each other’s family for two years! Two whole years! It’s strengthened our bond so much, that we don’t need any words to understand each other. It just takes a look (and a sniff) to understand what the other feels.

There have been countless times my human has cried in front of me and I have been there for her.

I care about everyone’s emotions! And that includes plants as well. One time I bumped into a flower pot and it almost knocked over. I went back, sniffed it, and made sure it didn’t break, apologized to it, and then continued with my work.

Other times, I get angry at non-thorny flowers and rip them off. One time I bit into an Aloe Vera. It tasted funny, but I didn’t mind it. Later on that day I also tried to eat that piece to hide the evidence of my crime. But its taste just made me feel bad, so I didn’t eat it up. I mean, I see my human put it on her hair and skin occasionally, and I hope that one day she also gives me an Aloe Vera massage.
