My mother decided to name Berry’s puppy, since she found her cute and adorable. We had suggested a variety of names varying from Char to something that would depict her miraculous survival; my mum disregarded every single idea and settled for “BooBoo”.

At first, it was funny for us. But then we started calling her that and everything felt normal. Now, most of us see how the name is equally adorable as it is funny.

Berry and BooBoo fight a lot. They like to growl at each other and Berry knows all ways to show dominance over her pup.

As expected, the pup is now undergoing the destruction phase, and her mother is trying to focus on disciplining her. Since the teething phase has taken over her, she will rip anything that comes in her way. She ripped the cardboard cartons we had given her to sit on if she felt like the floor was too cold.

She tears all newspapers we set on the floor to absorb spilled water. She even tore through our straw seaters!

And she loves to bite at hands and arms too, just like Berry would when she was a pup. Sometimes when Berry is too tired to protest, BooBoo will even bite at her ears and paws.

Other times, Berry is fierce. She doesn’t settle for misbehavior and doesn’t hesitate to grab her pup in her mouth, put her between her arms, and sit down, not letting her move. It’s almost as if she’s muttering out ‘You’re grounded for five minutes!’
