POV: You Are An Introvert In The Mall. You Hate It.

Writer's picture: Lala RukhLala Rukh

The steel grey structure hovered above me threatening to eat me up. Once again my mother had dragged me to the horrible place where children got kidnapped and phones got stolen: the mall. The sleek automatic glass doors slid open, sensing the movement of a reluctant girl and an over excited mother. The sight of so many bustling people made me nauseous. The humongous shops were overflowing with fluorescent displays, neon flashing sign boards and enthusiastic customers. A small child ran in front of me with a mother clutching shopping bags and handbags on his heels. A heated fight has broken out between two gangly looking boys because apparently one had bumped into the other. The blue uniform security staff was caught up in the middle, occasionally receiving a stray punch, distress clear up on his face. The escalator looked as if it was about to break down due to the load on it. it was truly horrible.
