Pakistan is culturally and ethnically a diverse country. Major ethnic groups in Pakistan include Punjabis, Pashtuns, Sindhis, Siraikis, Muhajirs, Balochis, Kashmiris, Brahuis, Hindkowans, Hazaras, and Burusho people. As all these different ethnicities coexist in one country, disputes are inevitable. However, everyone is referred to as a ‘Pakistani’ and that is what unites them all.

Almost all ethnicities have their own language but Urdu is a common one that they all share due to it being the national language of the country. This further reduces the chances of disagreement.

The diversity in music is yet another pleasing thing to experience in Pakistan. From traditional singing styles like Qawwali to folk music and Urdu songs; everything is on fleek when it comes to Pakistan’s sense of music. Western music has also made its place in Pakistan and is emerging highly. Our homeland has given birth to some of the best, legendary musicians of all times. Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan, Alam Lohar, and Rashmi are legends of music that belong to Pakistan.

The national dress of Pakistan is Shalwar Kameez. Though all ethnicities have their own signature dresses that they wear proudly. Dress in each regional culture reflects the way of living, weather conditions, and the distinctive style which gives it a unique identity among all cultures.
