Do You See?

Everything is lost, oh what do you see?

Everything is gone, oh what do you see?

It's blackness transcending down on us, covering us, enveloping us, so what do you see?

Among that darkness that's inhibiting us, blinding us, overwhelming us until we are hunched over on our knees, desperately seeking one last breath. Can you even see?

It's over, taking over, consuming us one by one, until there is nothing left of us. So what do you see?

Your open eyes, blind to it all, your closed eyes open to all the panic, open to all the numbness, open to everything, open to nothing. So what do you see?

Do you see?
