Quietly Muffled.

He creeps by throughout the night

Sleep slipping away from her, not for the first time

Invisible, the menace cackles to himself

Alas, a bunch of vulnerable, pathetic creatures was at his mercy

Sweat gleams on her forehead as fear drips into her

Marathons of shivers crawl up her spine, untying her

The heartless cannibal tiptoes towards her, his eyes glistening with thirst

Freezing, she squeezes her eyes shut, petrified to be the water

The fire that blazes in his pupils is fierce and prominent

The nights always prove to be merciless.

Wailing and screaming, she drowns herself with guilt and blame

Alas, jerks never learn the lesson the say way

Thick skulls and fat egos, that is

Shade engraves itself within her, killing herself to stop this madness

The madman not yet bound seizes her and no tale remains untold

Used and losing worth she cries her heart out but keeps her mouth sealed

Manipulated her, he grins, satisfaction enjoying the throne

Quiet, alone and rude, self-loathe trickles in her

What had she become?

Whistling, he enjoys pushing slow death towards her

Hopeless, she embraces it, painful but warm

Celebrating every moment while the mute toy vanishes slowly

Besides, tonight is another night, another sin, another victim to lay down boneless

Thousands of previous preys lay strewn

Millions of them weep themselves sick, fighting life for its purpose

Thy party overjoyed, the purpose being fulfilled

Terror running through the veins of every innocent soul

Lips stitched together, lubricated by the saltiness

Useless, weren’t they?

As worthless as they come.

No, they were the characterless ones.

And they will burn in the kiln of decease forever

Because, it isn’t your fault, my child.

It isn’t your fault

To say that one can stay quiet when harassment and rape knock at one’s door is to applaud them for the rest of their lives. But, my old me was naïve enough to be muffled quiet. As the speech didn’t arrive, I picked up my pen.
