Rape cases rise while everyone turns a blind eye

The unbelievable heartbreaking reality of life comes in front of me in the shape of sexual assault. The saddest part is that the people who do this also include people close to you, your siblings, cousins, and other close relatives. Countless women have been murdered in the name of honor and many girls are being avenged through rape for the crimes their male family members have committed. Underage girls are being married off to men thrice their age in compensation of any social embarrassment faced by the girl’s father or brothers.

Speaking of sexual abuse did you know there are constant reports of children being on the receiving end of sexual harassment and violence. A handful of perpetrators were caught when videos were circulated on social media, but most of them roam free.

Moreover, on the news, we see more sexual abuse cases and the sad part is that they are increasing day by day. One them was about a man who was in his late 20s, perpetrated sexual violence throughout his teenage years by blackmailing a number of his female classmates and then coercing them into unspeakable acts. He is extremely regretful for the acts now but by the time this insight came, he had already impacted several lives irreversibly. The boy was questioned why he did this but the reality was he didn't know why he did such a disgraceful act.

However, this does not happen with girls only the same case is with boys as well. A lot of boys face sexual harassment in madaris, many of them get killed as well. The worst part is that those who sexually abuse those kids don’t even feel ashamed. A few days back I saw a viral video of a qari who was arrested in a rape case. Now what he said in the video was unbelievable. I was shocked!!! He admitted the accusation laid on him and said that no one brought him forcefully to the police station and was even given water some food and all and he said they told him it's okay to admit it and said I am not ashamed of what I did and in that video, he confessed his crime and told how he brutally murdered the poor boy.

Seeing this brutality and police not treating it as a disgusting act it makes me realize how cruelty has grown in this world. All this brings me to a question: would you be able to forgive yourself if you would have done such a disgraceful act?
