Filmed in the enchanting country of Italy, Inkheart is a gripping movie that stand separate from other fantasy movies. This movie is based on a young adult fantasy novel written by Cornelia Funke. It has been directed so skillfully that all the visual effects and background editing has created scenes that appear to be directly out of the book.
The plot of the movie revolves around a respected book-binder Mo and his daughter Maggie. Mo also goes by the name of silvertongue as he possesses the ability to read characters out of the book. This special ability allows him to send or bring people from the mystical worlds created in books.
So, the plot develops as Mo had unintentionally sent his wife into a book; Inkheart, and brought some evil characters out while reading aloud to baby Maggie. Since that day, Mo didn’t read out loud for the fear of such tragedy happening again. However, through all those years, he continued his search for finding another copy of the book Inkheart.
The events take a captivating turn as Mo encounters a villainous character Capricorn who came out of the book and wants to destroy it so that he can never return. However, Mo manages to turn his greedy intentions to dust.
This movie offers a vivid experience to those who have read the book as they can match and compare the real characters with their own imagination. It also helps them to visualize the setting of the novel in more depth. Hence, this fantasy movie is a must-watch for those who have a deep interest in books and prefer watching their movie adaptations.
