Amy Winehouse was a British singer-songwriter. Her music mostly consisted of the genre “jazz”. She died in 2011 due to alcohol poisoning only at the age of 27. Though it is not known if she was a feminist she is a feminist icon. She had won Grammys and she was recognized as a great singer. She had much to her that I will type about it here.

To this day she still means a lot to many people. Her music not only had good tunes it also consisted of lyrics that were raw and came from the heart. And made a lot of sense too. They were really poetic and nice for the ears. She had an amazing voice then went beautifully with her songs. Her songs spoke the truth of romances and reality. She was one hefty woman. She was different. If you looked at her it would seem as if she came from the ’60s due to the attire she was wearing and her beehive hair. She was very outspoken and straightforward. She did not go with the status quo and would be upright about how she felt or what she thought regardless of how anybody thought of her. And she genuinely did not care how people thought of her. She had clever humor and her interviews are very interesting to listen to this day because it was not robotic or forced like most interviews nowadays, it felt she was talking to you. Whatever she was speaking about really made you want to listen.

Her music was amazing. As I said they came from the heart and sadly she dealt with a lot of codependency with her husband and the relationship was quite messy and you could hear the desperation, sadness, and ‘love’ through her songs. Her voice was all-roundheadspace amazing. A voice that you could never tire of listening to. And anyone that listens to her music really likes it.

Unfortunately, she lived a very sad life. She was a drug addict and she would always be looking terrible in pictures taken by paparazzi. Like she was not in her head space and you see the drug in her nose. She had a codependent relationship with her husband who had brawls and I mean physical brawls with her. The two of them came out of a club with marks and blood on them due to them fighting each other but not in their mind space. Her father used her for fame. She once went to rehab and when she was there, her father brought a whole camera crew to film her which the disapproved, and when fans tried to take pictures with her in rehab and she did not want to do it, her father got angry at her. When she and her husband got divorced he said mean things about her on television when she literally supported him when he was in jail and she won a Grammy. her death was a big tragedy. She said to her bodyguard the night before she died that if she could give all this (the fame) back just to walk down the street alone without any of the paparazzi bombarding her and taking pictures, she would.
