Disclaimer: This is an old food review. I have not ordered in more than 3 months and I urge you to avoid restaurant food at all costs. Nothing is more important than your health.

2 broke engineers is a Chinese restaurant located in F-7 Jinnah Super. Although I’ve never been to their shop, I have heard they have an amazing view. I ordered from their restaurant 6 months back.

I had ordered an oriental bowl and chose beef chili dry as my main with fried rice and chowmein. For the quantity, one bowl was enough for one person and was quite filling. Although my spice tolerance is pretty high, I would say that beef chili dry is ACTUALLY spicy. (However there is a chance that it may have felt spicier as I had heated up the food). Other than the spice beef chili dry with fried rice was actually pretty good and tasty. The chowmein too, was good. I would recommend going for other options on the menu without the red chili next to the name if you are not a big fan of spicy food.

I would rate the chowmein 8-8.5 out of 10. The beef chilli dry with the fried rice gets a 9. I would have given it a 10 if I had a higher tolerance.

Although the prices differ according to the meat chosen as the main dish, the price of one bowl in between 580- 850 (exclusive of tax), The cheapest being chicken while the most expensive are prawns. It is affordable as one bowl for a person which costs around 600-850 which is decent for a meal. However, there are cheaper options in the market. They are pretty hard to find and are usually a hit or miss.

When ordering from 2 broke engineers I had faced one difficulty which was that I had to order through a specific app called Eat Mubarak as the restaurant does not offer delivery services (they have expanded to food panda too recently). This was time consuming as I had to download the app, make an account then place my order. The time taken to deliver was 45 minutes to an hour but it is understandable as the time varies from location to location.

Lastly, if I wanted to eat Chinese, I would order from them again. Although, I might not order beef chili beef again, there are other really great options to choose from in chicken and beef.
