For the crust, you’ll need:
2 TBS sugar
¾ cup warm water
1 TBS active dry yeast
1 TBS salt
1 TBS olive oil
2 cups of refined flour
In a large bowl, combine the sugar and water. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it stay for about 10 minutes. Add salt, olive oil and water and mix to form a dough. Knead the dough and leave it on a bowl, covered with a towel to rise for about an hour in a warm place
For the sauce you’ll need:
1 can of tomato paste
¾ cup water
1 TBS onion powder
1 TBS dried basil
½ TBS garlic powder
½ TBS dried oregano
½ TBS salt
1 TBS grated parmesan cheese
In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients except the cheese and stir continuously heating in medium heat until it’s bubbly. Turn the heat off and add the cheese until it’s melted. Leave it till it cools completely.
Preheat the oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
For the pizza, you’ll need:
Pizza crust
½ pizza sauce
8oz mozzarella cheese
3oz pepperoni
1 TBS cornmeal
Additional ingredients for toppings of your choice
Prepare your pizza pan by dusting it with cornmeal to prevent sticking. Pat it down on the pan and take ½ of the sauce mixture and spread it out on the crust to about ¾ of the edge. Top it off with cheese and other ingredients of your choice. Bake for 7 minutes or till it’s golden brown. Watch carefully. After it’s cooked, slice it into 8 pieces and you’re done!
